Psaume 18 (A)

This Psalm is dedicated to the God of David who gave evidence of his mercy in a very difficult time.
While there was no hope, God manifested mightily:

"To the choirmaster. Servant of the Lord of David, who wrote to the Lord the words of this song, when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies and the hand of Saul.
He says: I love you, O LORD, my strength! LORD, my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge! (Where do I take refuge.) My shield (my wall) the horn of my salvation, my stronghold ! I cry: Praise the Lord! And I am saved from my enemies. "

Is it so easy for the believer today?

Is this a recipe for the faithful out of the traps of anguish, the torments of a sticky situation?

These words: "Praise the Lord " they become a magic formula where all our problems magically disappear?

What one discovers in this sentence appears as the tip of the iceberg of an intense life in communion with the Contractor.

You can not have that attitude of praise in these difficult situations, without holding a full confidence in the promises of the Father.

" The cords of death surrounded me, (Death of me bound ties), and the torrents of ungodliness made me afraid, and the cords of Sheol surrounded me, the snares of death surprised me. In my distress I called upon the LORD, I cried to my God; "

Do we act like this when we meet the distress on the narrow path of obedience: Invoking our God cry Him?
Or we're just criticizing, complaining, pressing against us, our security blanket of skepticism and disbelief?

" of his temple he heard my voice and my cry came before him in his ears. The earth shook and quaked, the foundations of the mountains quaked and were shaken, because he was angry. (See all shaken by his anger.) There was smoke in his nostrils, and devouring fire out of his mouth: He coals were kindled.

He bowed the heavens (He bends the sky) and it went down: There was a thick cloud (a gloomy cloud) his feet. He rode upon a cherub, and flew, he soared on the wings of the wind. He made darkness his retirement, his pavilion around him (to be hiding in their folds) It was wrapped in dark waters and dark clouds.

From brightness before him his thick clouds, Hailstones and coals of fire. The LORD also thundered in the heavens, the Most High uttered his voice, with hail and coals of fire.

He sent out his arrows and scattered them, He multiplied the strokes of lightning and routed them. The bed of waters were seen, (the ocean floor seems) the foundations of the world were discovered, by thy rebuke, O Lord!

By the sound of the blast of your nostrils. He extended his hand from above, he took me, He drew me out of many waters, He delivered me from my strong enemy, from my enemies who were stronger than me. "

Here is a beautiful description of a facet of our great King.
If necessary, our Redeemer overthrow the foundations of the earth to rescue her children adoptions!

Read what David wrote about the Father of glory, How reassuring! When we hear

the thundering sky, we can remember the Psalm, and say that our God is at work to rescue one of his children!

"They me in the day of my distress, (the day of my disaster) but the LORD was my support.
He put me off (removed from danger) It saved me (He rescued me) because he loves me
. "

The Adversary will act continuously as follows: Surprising the Christian traitor!

While difficult circumstances trying to stifle our praise and attack the enemy rushes. But

Glory on behalf of the Lord our God never sleeps, always on the lookout for rescue us!

Prayer:

" Lord, now praise rises from my heart! I just want to tell you I love you! I love you because you take care of me, You renew Your blessings every day.
In you, I find the safe, no matter if the storm rages over adversity in my life.
I can always count on your faithfulness! "

God tells you a little longer the greatness of his love!
